Once again in order for you to get speedy service from any entity that could possibly help you with medical benefits or disability you have to almost be dying (AIDS, Lou Gherigs or end stage Renal disease). What sense does that make? NONE! You have explained that the insurance you are on none of the pharmacies or doctors carry the medication you need and you are also not working. In you not working and no one carrying what you need, you explain that you definitely dont have the money to pay $500 out of pocket (as if you don't have insurance) for your medication and you have medicaid.

The office then tells you that you just have to think that you won't be getting the benefits and just PAY OUT OF POCKET. With the way the economy is who has that kind of money to spend every 30 days for medication you need on a daily basis for the rest of your life.

    This system is like a malignant disease. It perpetuates itself on the poor and down and out people of our society. We don't want a system that works only for the most severe and terminally ill. We need relief for those persons with illness that require medications that they respond well to, to improve their health and life.
    These people will go out an be citizens that can continue to work and not become a burden on the disability programs. The medicines specific for the individual is what wealthy people can afford. Hence, they continue to be productive and live a long and fruitful life. Good health is a human right. LET'S GET IT RIGHT.

Life with a Chronic Illness is a lot harder than you may think. I say that because I not only live with one illness, but I live with four Chronic Illnesses. All of my illnesses require me to take medication, and those medications can be costly if you don't have insurance or if you are on disability with Medicare. I see and hear all too often that many people especially diabetics are falling ill because they are rationing their medication,  and they are unable to pay for the necessary medications to keep them alive. We made it! Let's come together and be proud of the fact that another year has passed, and we get the chance to get it right for 2019! Last year brought heartache and pain, various doctor visits and memories that last a lifetime; but one thing it did not bring is DEFEAT! Many of you know that I live with various illnesses, and many ask me how do I do it...my answer is simple MY FAITH!
