Breakthrough Seizures
It happened.....After 8 years of being seizure free, and having my seizures being controlled with medication, it happened! Sitting at home, watching TV with my love, he was also multitasking, so he left the living room for only a minute....and it began. According to my husband, he heard me making a grunting sound; and so he felt compelled to yell my name, when I didn't respond he got louder and yelled my name again, finally, he yelled one last time to only walk back into the living room to see me going through a seizure. I have no recollection of exactly when it happened, or even how long I was seizing; but I can honestly say that I am grateful for my husband, who knew just what to do. I have to say that i was confused and upset at the same time, because in all honesty I never felt the seizure coming on, nor did I feel awkward.
