Economical Constraints of Life with a Chronic Illness
Life with a Chronic Illness is a lot harder than you may think. I say that because I not only live with one illness, but I live with four Chronic Illnesses. All of my illnesses require me to take medication, and those medications can be costly if you don't have insurance or if you are on disability with Medicare. I see and hear all too often that many people especially diabetics are falling ill because they are rationing their medication, and they are unable to pay for the necessary medications to keep them alive. I myself had to deal with this, and I have to admit that it was all so shocking to me to find out, that my seizure meds cost less with my Medicare insurance and GoodRX. I was also able to receive my test strips at a much lower cost; but there was something missing.....MY INSULIN!!!
